Located five minutes from some of the most beautiful beaches on the Sunshine Coast, our Studio has been part of this community for over 18 years. We feel so blessed to bring you this amazing method of exercise and embody its traditions into every session. Keeping our class sizes to a maximum of three people per session allows us the room to reach individual goals and create a full mind/body workout. Each session at Pilates on Centre is never the same.

We have all Pilates equipment ranging from small apparatus to bigger machines, allowing us to give you the full Pilates experience. 

All our Instructors are fully qualified with a minimum of 10 years teaching experience. Our passion for the Pilates industry inspires us to stay up to date with all latest research, allowing us to share this knowledge within our studio community.

New Studio Clients

Initial Consultation Package - New clients to the Studio prefer to do this Initial Package as it includes three private sessions and three semi-private sessions (max three people). The first private session will include an assessment where will go over your previous history, pathologies, injuries, strength and weaknesses. Its also the time we as instructors teach you the fundamental principles of Pilates. Following the private sessions you will join a semi-private session and continue your Pilates journey and work towards your goals.

Annette started her journey to Pilates by completing a Diploma in Fitness. Finding a love of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics she decided to look at a more specialised area. Annette completed her first Pilates certification in 2004 and since then has has done an addition two Pilates certifications and numerous workshops, conferences and continuing education. Becoming the owner of Pilates on Centre has been the absolute highlight, and being able to offer this boutique service to the Sunshine Coast community makes her job the best!

Hi I'm Anita, I'm 52 with two teenage boys and have been teaching for eight years.
I'm still a student, learning all the time.
I have personally experienced and hearing clients testimonials saying Pilates is a great form of exercise and movement that enhances and works well in conjunction with other types of exercise or on its own. This is why I love teaching Pilates. It's potentially for everyone.
My Pilates journey started when my husband was getting regular lower back pain. He has mild scoliosis. He got such good results doing Pilates, he convinced me I should try it. Within a few sessions I loved it and the precision. The mindfulness of each movement felt  challenging and a little overwhelming at first, however beneficial. I used what I learnt in classes to everyday life. How I walk, stand, improve my training at the gym, my posture and more. I learnt the importance of pelvic floor.
I love working with clients, working towards their goals, helping them understand their bodies and functional movement. It is a rewarding and positive experience for clients and myself.

Certified Pilates Practitioner

Hi, I’m Sam. My Pilates practice began with the matwork, about 5 years ago. The fundamental movements covered in the matwork helped improve my strength and mobility, but I also noticed benefits in managing some of my ongoing injuries. At the time I was working as a personal trainer, so I decided to look into doing a bit of training in the method as a way to help myself and to pass on the benefits to my clients. I soon realised there was far more than that in which I had been introduced to in the matwork, and in the end, my decision to do a ‘bit’ of training led me to complete a diploma in Contemporary Pilates and Teaching Methodology 2 years ago. I have been working solely as a Pilates teacher ever since. I was fortunate to train and learn under some of the best teachers in the country. Not only did this help me to thoroughly understand the exercises involved in the Pilates Method, but also the underlying philosophy of the exercises as well. In time I have come to see Pilates as being the original in cross training. Practice in the Pilates Method helps you move more effortlessly. With that, it benefits any activities you may like to do, from recreational or competitive sport, to simply giving you the ease with which to move throughout everyday life.
